Ernst is the Artistic Coordinator of the newly set up Junior Company of Dutch National Ballet.
Born in the Netherlands & trained at the Nationale Ballet Academie in Amsterdam & at the Royal Ballet School in London Ernst joined the Royal Ballet in 2000. In August 2010 he joined Dutch National Ballet as a Grand Sujet.
He has had roles created on him and dances an extensive international repertoire. Overseas tours include United States, Asia, Australia, Cuba and Russia.
Since joining Dutch National Ballet he has worked with such choreographers as Benjamin Millepied and Alexei Ratmansky.
Choreography / Producing:
He choreographed every year from 2000 -2010 for Draft Works/First Drafts at The Royal Ballet. Most recently he choreographed for English National Ballet School at the Peacock Theatre London 2010 and in September 2010 he choreographed Two especially for DanceEast 's Anniversary Gala (with soloists Senri Kou and Anton Lukovkin from English National Ballet).

Ernst as choreographed for TEDx event Amsterdam with dancers from Dutch National Ballet. Live event on 25 November 2011 at Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam and then streamed on the TEDx website and Dutch television.
Ernst choreographed a ballet for New English Ballet Theatre in July 2012 at the Peacock Theatre in London.
